Want to learn something new and make friends? If so, you should try out for color guard! We teach you everything you need to know!

Try-outs for the 2024-2025 Siloam Springs Color Guard will be held on the dates listed below. All clinics and tryouts will be held in the SSHS Den. Students should wear athletic clothing/tennis shoes and bring a water bottle. If you have any questions, please email them to elliss@gosiloam.com.

Optional Info Meeting:

May 9th during ROARR/Panther Time in the theater

Clinic Dates: 

(This is when we will teach you a flag and dance routine)

• Monday, May 13th, 4:00-6:30pm HS Den

• Tuesday, May 14th, 4:00-6:30pm HS Den

Group Tryout Date:

(You will audition in groups, not by yourself!)

• Wednesday, May 15th, 4:00-6:30pm HS Den

There will also be an optional info meeting on April 30th during ROARR at the High School for those who have questions. This meeting will be in the theater. All other dates will be in the HS Den.

For those who make the team, there will be three required rehearsals at the end of May. These three rehearsals are only for the color guard. At the end of the summer, there will be rehearsals that involve the entire band. All dates are listed below:

Spring Color Guard Fundamentals Camp:

• Tuesday, May 28th, 8:00am-3:00pm, SSHS Band Room

• Wednesday, May 29th, 8:00am-3:00pm, SSHS Band Room

• Thursday, May 30th, 8:00am-3:00pm, SSHS Band Room

Summer Band Rehearsals:

• Monday-Friday, July 22-26, 9:00am-5:00pm, SSHS

• Monday-Thursday, July 29-August 1, 9:00am-5:00pm, SSHS

• Monday-Friday, August 5-9, 5:00pm-8:00pm, SSHS

• Monday, August 12, 5:00pm-8:00pm, SSHS

Fall rehearsal dates and times will be communicated at tryouts. In the fall semester, you must enroll in Marching Band as a class. We can take care of any schedule changes that you may need once the team is determined. We look forward to seeing you there!
